Why I keep coming back to the rebounder

Most weeks, the first thing I do after I wake is step onto my Bellicon. It is not glamorous and it is not a workout — it is a small, repetitive bounce that wakes the lymph system and tells my body the day has started.

I came to rebounding skeptically. I am a yoga teacher; I was trained to slow down. But the body craves both stillness and motion, and the rebounder fills the gap between them better than anything else I have found.

If you are curious, start small. Three minutes a day. Bounce gently, with your feet still in contact with the mat. Notice how you feel an hour later. That is the practice.
